In our tradition the Rattle Snake represents those that crawl upon the back of the turtle. They live in the shadow of the sacred tree and remind the spontaneous people when they are not aware.
In the Rattle Snake's bundle is something that to the Rattle Snake Clan represents all of this responsibility and all of the attributes mentioned above. The Keeper of the Rattle Snake’s bundle is the speaker for the Rattle Snake Clan.
The Rattle Snake's responsibility is to bring and keep order to the longhouse and to carry the sacred music of the people. The Honor of the Rattle Snake is to be the first to offer songs for the people in grand council.
The Rattlesnake’s ceremonial duties are to prepare the early summer festival.
