The Salmon represents the nourishment and care of the people of the First Fire of agreement. Salmon is the giveaway of food that otter catches to bring back on the path past the tree, guided by the song of the people to the first home to care for the spontaneous people
In the Salmon’s bundle is something that to the Salmon Clan represents all of these things and all of the attributes mentioned above. The keeper of this bundle is the speaker for the Salmon clan.
The Salmon Clan keeps the people fed and warm in the longhouse and cares for those who are ill or hurt; they also attend the dying and birthing. It’s Honor is that it may serve the people and provide for the future well being of our longhouse.
The Salmon Clan’s ceremonial responsibility is to prepare early fall ceremony.
